Ride back into History

I stopped to take a look at my GPS for directions to my first geocache find of the day in Loudoun County, as I pulled into the parking lot besides a convenient gas station I couldn/t resist the photo op. Yes, a 1950 Ford Club Coupe Convertible.

The owner is only the second owner, the original owner was sent overseas, probably to VietNam (he didn’t return) the day before it was to be delivered, and sat in a barn for about 10 years before the current owner bought in 1960. The only modification that he made was to put on dual exhausts.

The engine, an 8-cylinder “FlatHead”, probably doesn’t leak much oil, it’s spotless.

And the interior actually smells like new car

Oh by the way, I was able to find 2 of the caches I was looking for, and bombed out on one, well 66% on the day isn’t bad.
