It’s winter again

The previous post was about the start of CAM, go back and see what CAM is all about. A couple days later the weather turned cold again, and dumped another couple of inches of snow. Two inches of snow isn’t much, but when the temperature is still below freezing, it stays on the ground a day or so. The snow wasn’t deep so heading out through the woods for the second CAM Cache started on a paved path, then the route turned onto a trail, Only a small bit of snow was left on this trail with a bit of mud in the middle. Nothing we couldn’t navigate easily.

But as we worked our way closer to our destination we encountered more snow, then finally having to “bushwack” on untracked fresh snow. We were the first cachers since the snow.

Finally we reached the cache, it had been covered with snow. We uncovered it, signed the log and are ready to put it back. A little snow doesn’t stop dedicated cachers.
