A Wilde day at the Lake

5-friends_2837It’s been a while since I’ve taken the time, and the weather has cooperated enough to get out of the house and get down to Wilde Lake, here in Columbia, MD. But it was a great day, sunny and only a few clouds in the sky. I’ll just let the photos tell about the day.

First a few random photos, then one of the good finds for the day.

A Black Crowned Night Heron sat and posed for about a Quarter of an hour. It was only about 20′ off a well used path, but when some walkers passed by it left a quieter perch.
