The Cello at the Hearth

The sun was setting as I drove down the lane looking for the right house. Lets see, first the Blacksmith on the left, skip one house, then the large stone house over 200 years old. That’s it.

3After the host greeted me at the door, I put a bottle of wine on the kitchen table, and left some cheese and crackers on the food table. Now to pick a good seat.

In the music room a couple Guitars and a Fiddle stood in their stands. But the centerpiece of the ensemble was a Cello accompanied by a ‘Washtub’!

Tonight’s House Concert promised would be a a fantastic variety of Folk Music.

    That’s a concert I’d like to attend.

  4. This was wonderful… the washtub came unexpectedly, I did expect a banjo too.
