It’s Not May Yet, But The Apples Are Here

Cee at Cee’s Photoography daily posts her Flower of the day along with this ‘challenge’ Feel free to add your floral photo to the comments. This way we can all enjoy everyone’s flowers.

Not being a flower person, but liking nature photography I’m always on the lookout for an interesting subject. Yesterday was no exception, but I did take time to look down and wonder what lie beneath the leaves of the Mayapple plants. What a surprise! There are Mayapples, and May doesn’t start till tomorrow. If you’ve taken a walk in the woods those ankle high plants with large 4-9 lobed leaves are Mayapple, you have to get down on your knees to see the flower and the ‘apple’, which is poisonous.
